Yilkynagyz" water main in Lebap began to overflow

The "Yilkynagyz" main aqueduct, which was built to irrigate the crops in the "Ak Altyn", "Bataş" and "Yilkynagyz" plains on the right bank of the Amu River, started to overflow again.

As reported in the "Turkmenistan" newspaper, this akaba, which originates from the bank of the river, at the first stage, with the help of powerful water carriers, lifts the deep water of the river to a height of 10 meters. Then, the appropriate facilities built along this aqueduct raise the water up to a height of 59 meters, fully satisfying the demand for fresh water of the agricultural fields. With the repair and renewal of aqueducts along Aqaba, its carrying capacity has now been fully restored. As a result, the area of wheat to be planted in these fields in the fall has been significantly expanded. Agricultural producers and landowners are planning to plant cotton, wheat, and various intercrops in these plains from next year.
