Arkadag City’s Second Construction Stage Includes Over 180 Residential Buildings

More than 180 residential buildings are being constructed as part of the second phase of Arkadag City’s development, according to a report published on Saturday in the Türkmenistan newspaper.

In addition, 72 new two-story duplex cottages are being built. These homes will feature smart home technology. The residential complexes are designed with all essential services in mind, including nearby access to educational institutions, retail stores, service centers, and other facilities.

The second phase of the “smart” city’s development will also include the construction of five general education schools, each with a capacity of 720 students; nine kindergartens for 320 children each; a health clinic; a fire station; administrative buildings for the Gorjaw district administration of Arkadag City; a bus terminal; a railway station; a fine carpet production facility; the National Museum of Turkmen Carpets and Handicrafts; parks; and shopping and service centers.

Arkadag City was officially inaugurated on June 29, 2023. The first phase of construction included 336 modern facilities.
