National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held separate meetings with Erman Ilıcak, Chairman of the Board of Rönesans Holding, and Ahmet Çalık, Chairman of the Board of Çalik Holding, Turkmenistan’s state news agency reported on Sunday.
The meetings focused on the current state of partnerships and the experience of Turkish companies operating in Turkmenistan. The guests expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet and extended birthday greetings to Berdimuhamedov, also congratulating him on the second anniversary of the founding of the city of Arkadag, highlighting the country's achievements.
Erman Ilıcak noted that a large-scale urban development program was launched in Turkmenistan at Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s initiative and is now being implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. National Leader of the Turkmen people, in turn, acknowledged the company’s responsible work in Turkmenistan and its contribution to the construction of facilities that meet international standards.
During the meeting with the head of Çalik Holding, the sides discussed the outcomes of long-standing cooperation, with particular emphasis on joint projects in energy, construction, and healthcare. The historical closeness between the two nations and their shared commitment to development were cited as key factors in strengthening Turkmen-Turkish ties.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan emphasized that Turkmenistan adheres to principles of equality and mutual respect in its economic relations with foreign partners. He also stressed the importance of scientific approaches, innovative solutions, and modern technologies in joint initiatives.
The Turkish business leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities in good faith and expressed readiness to continue participating in priority areas of cooperation.
