National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting on Saturday with Kenji Sanada, Executive Director of the Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., who arrived in the country on a visit, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
During the meeting, it was noted that the development of positive relations with the Asia-Pacific region is a strategic direction of Turkmenistan’s foreign economic policy. In this context, special attention is paid to strengthening effective cooperation with Japan, which is traditionally regarded as a reliable partner.
The National Leader of the Turkmen People and the businessman discussed the prospects for new joint projects.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the wide opportunities for further development of bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to consider Kawasaki’s proposals for innovative projects.
The head of the Japanese company expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and the President of Turkmenistan for the favorable conditions created for effective work in the country, assuring that his company intends to continue fulfilling its partnership obligations in good faith.
On the same day, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also held a meeting with Jung Won-ju, Chairman of the Board of the South Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd.
