594 thousand 892 seedlings of deciduous, coniferous, fruit trees and grapes were planted in Turkmenistan during the spring greening campaign on Saturday, March 16. According to TDH, along with measures to maintain cleanliness in park and forest areas and their improvement, 2 million 376 thousand 204 trees were taken care of on this day.

The start of the greening campaign dedicated to the National Spring Day was given by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The head of state planted a young tree on the territory of the Magtymguly Fragi cultural and park complex, where the Chairman of the Mejlis, deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, diplomatic missions and international structures accredited in Turkmenistan, the hyakim of Ashgabat, as well as the participants of the action.

Then, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, together with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, took part in the landscaping of the capital's Archabil Avenue in the area between the Constitution Monument and the Palace of Congresses, planting seven seedlings here. Their symbolic gesture was echoed by other participants in the action.
