Last month, Microsoft published a list of Intel processors supported by the latest version of the Windows 11 24H2 operating system. It did not contain the 8th, 9th and 10th generation Core models, although they were in the documentation of previous versions. This caused surprise and criticism among users.
The company later clarified that the list is intended for OEMs (a company that makes parts and equipment that can be sold by another company under its own brand) and serves as guidelines for assembling new PCs. However, questions continued to come in, and Microsoft recently updated the Windows 11 24H2 support page to include the missing models.
