On May 6-7, 2024, the seventh meeting of the High-Level Working Group on Caspian Sea Issues was held in Baku. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reports this.

Representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan (head of the delegation - S. Sharifov), the Islamic Republic of Iran (head of the delegation - A. Jahangiri), the Republic of Kazakhstan (head of the delegation - Z. Amanzholova), the Russian Federation (chairman of the delegation - Petrakov M.) and Turkmenistan (head of the delegation - Atadzhanov M.).

In parliament, the parties continued to discuss the methodology for drawing direct lines of access to the Caspian Sea. Issues related to cooperation in the Caspian Sea were also discussed. The next meeting of the working group will take place on June 24-27, 2024 in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
