In Lebap Velayat, the Kunjek Mine Department, which belongs to the "Turkmendashy" production association, processes 640 thousand cubic meters of non-mineral stones and produces more than 1 million tons of various types of small gravel.
According to the article published in the "Turkmenistan" newspaper, the demand of the consumer is taken into account when the mineral stones are processed with the help of various techniques from the 200 hectares of land allocated to the directorate for raw materials. More specifically, whatever type of sand is in high demand, that product is produced more than others.
Thus, a significant amount of products needed for the mining industry of Turkmenistan is obtained from this region. The crushed stones used in the construction of railways are also the products of this company. As a result, the range of paint products, such as celestine, carbide, gyusha stones, gypsum board, dry mixes for various purposes, produced here will increase even more in the future.
Scientists who conducted research and diagnostic work in the region, specialists of "Koytendag" geological-research expedition say that there are about 30 elements listed in Mendeleev's periodic table in these places, the article states.
