Boxers from Turkmenistan won six medals at the international tournament held in Kazakhstan

Junior boxers from Turkmenistan recently won six medals at the international competition dedicated to the memory of the famous Kazakh boxer Bokenbay Saktaganov, held at the sports complex "Dosan Batyr" in Aktau. It should be emphasized that Turkmen sportsmen won one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.

Of the four states - Turkmenistan. Jeyhun Dovranov, who competed in the weight category up to 54 kilograms, won the gold medal of the Turkmen national team in the international tournament, which included representatives of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Meilis Shadurdyev, the representative of the weight category up to 57 kilograms, only lost to his opponent in the final match, and reached the second step of the podium.

Hangeldi Lukmanov in the weight category up to 48 kg, Mekan Sabyrov in the category up to 60 kg, Annageldi Jumamyradov in the category up to 63.5 kg and Atageldi Seyidov in the category up to 67 kg won bronze medals.

The Turkmen athletes were prepared for this prestigious competition by the head coach of the youth team of the country, Maksut Sheripov, and the head coach of the national team, Tenilbek Kumakulov. It should also be mentioned that our compatriot Timur Halilov participated in the international competition as a judge.

By the way, our junior boxers are participating in the international tournament held in this city for the second time this year. At the international competition held in this city in February, our junior athletes managed to win 8 medals under the leadership of Maksut Sheripov. Our sportsmen such as Meilis Shadurdyev, Hangeldi Lukmanov and Mekan Sabyrov were on the podium in both of these competitions.
