Russia offered to open air flights to Turkmenistan from several cities of the country

The Russian Federation offered to establish air flights to Turkmenistan from the cities of Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Astrakhan and Novosibirsk. Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin informed about this.

According to the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Ivan Volynkin said it is necessary to activate negotiations on increasing the number of passenger traffic between Turkmenistan and Russia through air and sea transport.

"The Russian side put forward proposals to open air traffic from St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Astrakhan and Novosibirsk, as well as to establish ship traffic on the Caspian Sea. I believe that this will create important conditions for the development of cultural, historical, medical and resort tourism," the ambassador said.

Currently, flights from Turkmenistan to Russia are operated by Turkmenistan Airlines and S7 Airlines. Flights to Moscow, Russia.
