National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the preparations of several hotels in the National Tourist Zone Avaza during a working trip to the Balkan Velayat, Turkmenistan’s state news agency reported on Wednesday.
Special attention was given to creating comfortable conditions for accommodating participants of the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3). Berdimuhamedov toured hotel rooms, emphasizing the need for high service standards and the observance of national hospitality traditions. He noted that all matters related to guest comfort must be taken into account and that surrounding areas should be properly maintained.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan also held a working meeting with the heads of relevant agencies to discuss ways to accelerate preparations given the short timeframe before the international forum.
A separate discussion focused on the conference’s media coverage. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of active reporting on the historic significance of the event. National TV channels, radio stations and online outlets were instructed to provide daily coverage of the forum’s progress, including key discussions and decisions.
As part of his visit to the Balkan Velayat, the National Leader also toured the Congress Center located in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. The facility will serve as one of the main venues for the upcoming LLDC3.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reviewed the current state of the building and its surrounding area. Designed with modern architectural and engineering solutions, the Congress Center blends harmoniously with the coastal landscape and is fully equipped to host international forums, business meetings and various events.
