Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Takes Sea Cruise Along Avaza Coast

National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took a sea cruise aboard a vessel during a working trip to the Balkan Velayat, during which he reviewed the ongoing work along the coastline, Turkmenistan’s official state news agency reported on Wednesday.

During the cruise, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reviewed the progress of landscaping and infrastructure development projects in the National Tourist Zone Avaza. He emphasized the importance of accelerating construction and renovation work, highlighting the need to focus on building design, lighting and ensuring environmental well-being. Berdimuhamedov also gave instructions on further landscaping and expanding green areas.

Later, the National Leader of the Turkmen People visited one of the venues designated to host cultural and humanitarian events during the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3). Projects for modernizing facilities were presented at the site, including plans for fountains, tea houses, children’s areas, as well as street lighting and decorative elements.

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was also shown layout plans for future facilities, including a design for a stage for musical performances. After reviewing the proposed plans, the National Leader offered several comments and made relevant adjustments.

He underscored the importance of combining modern design solutions with national architectural traditions, noting that all construction and finishing materials must meet current standards of quality, durability and aesthetics, and that the design should be planned with long-term use in mind.
