Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held bilateral meetings with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), taking place in the city of Avaza.
The two leaders discussed key areas of cooperation, including boosting trade and economic ties, enhancing investment, and deepening partnerships in transportation, industry, energy and agriculture, according to the Tajik president's press service.
The sides proposed developing a "roadmap" for 2026–2028 aimed at increasing bilateral trade. They also stressed the importance of establishing regular direct flights between the capitals.

That same day, Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Uzbek leader congratulated Turkmenistan on the successful organization of the UN conference and expressed gratitude for being awarded the state honor — the Order for Advancing Cooperation, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
The two sides discussed the progress of bilateral relations and preparations for upcoming high-level engagements.
The presidents agreed to ensure the effectiveness of joint events planned for 2025, including meetings of intergovernmental commissions, the Business Council, and the Regional Forum.

A trilateral meeting was also held in Avaza with the participation of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov. The talks focused on expanding regional cooperation and advancing joint projects in energy, logistics, industry, and agriculture.
