On June 3, a mass cycling rally was held in Ashgabat with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The 11-kilometer sporting event, which commenced at the "Bicycle" monument and concluded near the Ruhyyet Palace, brought together over two thousand participants, including government officials, diplomats, students, and athletes. To mark the occasion, bicycles were presented to the children of the Orphanage ("Döwletliler köşgi") currently vacationing in Gokdere, on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation.

Established by a UN General Assembly resolution, this international day was widely celebrated both across the country and abroad. Cycling rallies were organized by the diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, France, and Afghanistan (Herat). Turkmenistan stands as one of the key initiators behind the creation of this global event, actively promoting a healthy lifestyle on the world stage.
