In January-July 2024, Turkmenistan entered the top ten countries that imported the most carpets from Uzbekistan.

According to the Statistics Agency under the President of Uzbekistan, during the reporting period, Turkmenistan bought carpets with a total area of ​​38.7 thousand square meters from Uzbekistan. Thus, Turkmenistan took the 7th place among the countries that bought the most carpets from neighboring countries.

Azerbaijan (1 million 226.5 thousand square meters), Kyrgyz Republic (1 million 108 thousand square meters), Afghanistan (807.3 thousand square meters), Russia (542.5 thousand square meters) and Kazakhstan ( 328.7 thousand square meters).

As far as we know, in 7 months of this year, Uzbekistan exported 4.3 million square meters of carpets worth 13 million US dollars to foreign markets.
