On February 27, 2024, in the year of “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi”, in honor of International Women’s Day, the association of trade unions of Turkmenistan in the city of Turkmenbashi, Balkan velayat, together with the agency “Turkmendenizderyayollary” organized a competition on the Turkmen national practical art of handicraft “El hünäri il gezer” in the conference hall hotel “Charlak”. Girls and women of the Agency and its subordinate enterprises took part in the competition. The goal of the competition was to reflect in their performances the upcoming celebration of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, the significance of the state policy towards youth pursued by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the art of handicraft, which is our national heritage passed on from generation to generation.

On the stage, decorated in national palettes, girls and women performed performances of various types of Turkmen national crafts, as well as poems, songs, reflections on the motherhood of the sage and poet Magtymguly Fragi and images from the book “Worship of the mother - veneration of the shrine” by our Hero Arkadag.

The winner was recognized as the most striking performance based on the results of the jury. In the competition, A. Gonurzhaeva, a technician for servicing computer systems of the service “Digital Systems of the Balkans” of the joint-stock company “Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant “Balkan”, won the main prize, Kh. Baidzhanova, the artistic director of cultural events of the maritime secondary vocational school, won 1st place, G. Kitzhanova, terminal tallymaster bulk cargo of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport won II place, and III place was awarded to the organizer of cultural events of the river secondary vocational school.

The Association of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan in the city of Turkmenbashi, Balkan velayat, awarded the winners with a certificate of honor and valuable gifts.
