Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, and marketing manager of The Brussels Times, Ilham Rzayev discussed opportunities for cooperation in the media sector and the implementation of joint informational projects. The meeting took place in Brussels, the Embassy of Turkmenistan reported on Wednesday.
During the conversation, the ambassador outlined the key areas of the diplomatic mission’s work, emphasizing the importance of public diplomacy as a tool for advancing Turkmenistan’s foreign policy priorities. He noted that the embassy regularly holds briefings and meetings with media representatives and expert communities, providing objective information about the country’s domestic and foreign policy.
The sides discussed the potential for producing publications focused on Turkmenistan’s cultural heritage, peacebuilding initiatives, unique history, and modern achievements. Special attention was given to Turkmenistan’s commitment to the principles of permanent neutrality, good neighborliness, and sustainable development, including initiatives promoted within the United Nations framework.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed interest in developing a partnership. The ambassador confirmed the embassy’s readiness to engage with international media outlets seeking to expand their coverage of Turkmenistan.
