Turkmenistan President Holds High-Level Meetings at LLDC3

Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a series of bilateral meetings with high-level guests attending the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) on Wednesday in the National Tourist Zone of Avaza, according to official Turkmen media.

The president met with First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Reza Aref; Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Wang Yong; Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev; Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya Mohamed Yunus al-Menfi; King Mswati III of Eswatini; and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev.

During the meeting with Iran’s representative, the two sides discussed current issues in strengthening bilateral partnership. Particular attention was given to cooperation in trade, energy, transport, construction, and agriculture, as well as in the humanitarian field, including science, education, and culture.

With the Chinese delegation led by Wang Yong, the sides discussed priorities in the Turkmen-Chinese strategic partnership. They emphasized active collaboration in energy, trade, humanitarian areas, and on international platforms, including the United Nations.

President Berdimuhamedov focused on deepening cooperation based on shared cultural and historical values during his meeting with Adylbek Kasymaliev. Topics included transportation connectivity, interregional collaboration, and coordination within regional organizations such as the CIS and the Organization of Turkic States.

During talks with Mohamed Yunus al-Menfi, both parties confirmed their mutual interest in expanding cooperation in energy, trade, and the humanitarian sphere. The Libyan side praised Turkmenistan’s foreign policy and its contribution to regional peace and stability. They also discussed opportunities in the oil and gas sector and diplomatic engagement.

Talks with King Mswati III focused on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Eswatini. The two sides discussed prospects for cooperation in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian areas, as well as engagement within the UN framework.

In the meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, the parties reviewed a broad range of topics in Turkmen-Russian cooperation, including trade, transport, energy, and humanitarian ties.
