Turkmenistan and Mongolia signed 14 bilateral agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation across a wide range of sectors during the official visit of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Mongolia, as reported by the press service of the President of Mongolia on Monday.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties in political, trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian, and scientific fields. One of the key outcomes of the visit was the signing of a Joint Statement on the Development of Cooperation and an agreement to establish an intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation.

The agreements include a medium-term trade, economic, and investment cooperation program for 2026–2028 and a foreign ministry cooperation program for 2026–2027. Special attention was also given to collaboration in education, science, healthcare, media, and culture.
Several memorandums were signed between relevant ministries, academies of sciences, universities, and museums of the two countries. Sister-city relations were established between Ashgabat and Ulaanbaatar, and cooperation agreements were concluded between national news agencies and broadcasting companies.
The signed documents are expected to give new momentum to bilateral relations and support the implementation of joint initiatives across various sectors.
