Belarusian companies are considering placing orders for the production of plastic goods in Turkmenistan using molds provided by Belarus, as reported by the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday following a business mission to Ashgabat.
The potential manufacturing initiative was discussed during meetings between Turkmen producers and representatives of Belarusian industrial associations at the “White City Ashgabat” exhibition held May 24–25 in Ashgabat. The project aims to strengthen industrial cooperation and facilitate technology transfer between the two countries.
The delegation included representatives from five Belarusian enterprises seeking to expand trade and economic ties with Turkmenistan. The visit’s agenda featured participation in the expo, as well as talks with officials from the Turkmen Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
During the visit, the Belarusian delegation toured industry-specific facilities in Ashgabat, assessed their technical capabilities and discussed terms of potential partnerships.
Delegation members noted that establishing direct personal contacts marked an important step toward implementing joint projects. Both sides expressed readiness to deepen bilateral economic cooperation.
Belarusian and Turkmen companies reached a preliminary agreement on contracts for the supply of polypropylene sleeves to Belarus.
