A Turkmen delegation joined representatives from the United Kingdom and Central Asian countries for an event focused on sharing experience in migration statistics, assessing labor market impact, and tailoring data to meet user needs. The event took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Organized by the British Government and the Effective Governance for Economic Development (EGED) program, the gathering brought together national statistical agencies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The British Embassy in Turkmenistan reported the news on Tuesday.
During the event, each Central Asian country held bilateral meetings with their UK counterparts to expand partnerships and strengthen statistical cooperation.
The EGED program is a five-year initiative funded by the UK Government. It aims to enhance the effectiveness, accountability, and transparency of economic policymaking across Central Asia.
