January–July: Georgian Exports to Turkmenistan Exceed $25 Million

Georgia’s exports to Turkmenistan reached $25.755 million in the January–July period of 2025, nearly four times higher than the $6.725 million recorded during the same period in 2024, as Trend news agency reported on Monday.

The increase was primarily driven by shipments of motor vehicles, aircraft, spare parts for ships, which accounted for $10.14 million during the reporting period.

Exports of machinery, mechanical appliances, and electrical equipment also saw a significant rise, nearly fivefold, reaching $725,200.

A notable increase was also observed in the export of live animals and animal products, which totaled $9.406 million.

Chemical products and related industry items accounted for $2.692 million, and textiles and textile-related goods grew modestly, reaching $43,700.

Trade between Georgia and Turkmenistan during the first seven months of 2025 showed sustained growth, largely fueled by transport equipment and animal products.

In 2024, the total trade turnover between Georgia and Turkmenistan exceeded $81 million, with Turkmen exports making up approximately $58 million, and Georgian exports amounting to around $23 million.
