Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan Committed to Strengthening Trade and Economic Cooperation

Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are set to expand trade and economic ties and deepen collaboration across several key sectors. The statement was made by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov on Friday in Avaza, Trend reports.

According to the minister, the new format of cooperation creates additional opportunities for advancing relations in all areas. “On the instructions of our leaders, we, together with our colleagues, are focused on expanding and deepening trade, economic, and transport cooperation, as well as engagement in the energy sector,” Jabbarov said.

He emphasized that the meeting would result in joint declarations, underlying the presence of concrete working solutions and effective mechanisms already in place. “This initiative will bring our countries’ economies even closer, enhance transport connectivity, and strengthen energy cooperation,” he added.

The minister also highlighted the importance of developing humanitarian cooperation and expressed confidence that the leaders of the three countries would identify priorities to be implemented consistently.

The trilateral meeting in the “Azerbaijan–Turkmenistan–Uzbekistan” format is taking place on August 22, 2025, in Avaza.
