President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan on August 22, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported on Thursday.

At the invitation of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Mirziyoyev will take part in a trilateral summit in the format “Azerbaijan–Turkmenistan–Uzbekistan,” which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

The meeting will focus on prospects for expanding cooperation in trade and economic, transport, energy and humanitarian spheres. Following the summit, a number of documents are expected to be signed.

The Uzbek leader will hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the event.

On August 5, 2025, President Mirziyoyev also attended the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which took place in Avaza.
