Turkmenistan, UN Discuss Initiatives for Year of Peace and Trust

Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Aymyrat Gochmyradov, met on Wednesday in Dushanbe with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan, Ramaswamy Parvati, to discuss joint initiatives in connection with the International Year of Peace and Trust, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tajikistan.

The sides emphasized Turkmenistan’s active role within the framework of the United Nations and its commitment to the principles of neutrality and preventive diplomacy.

The meeting also addressed the significance of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, set to take place in August 2025 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

Particular attention was given to the preparation of a joint event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s status of permanent neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, with the participation of youth, the diplomatic corps, and international organizations.
