Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, met on Monday with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, to discuss ways to foster a more favorable environment for business activity, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan.
Both sides highlighted the friendly nature of Turkmen-Pakistani relations and expressed interest in implementing mutually beneficial projects, encouraging bilateral investment, and expanding trade ties. Special attention was given to accelerating construction of the TAPI gas pipeline, described as a key element of economic cooperation.

On August 8,2025, Atajan Movlamov also met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, alongside Kazakh Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin. That meeting focused on prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on developing transport and logistics infrastructure and strengthening connectivity between Central and South Asia.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to deepening partnerships, noting that expanding logistics corridors and infrastructure projects would boost trade, attract investment, and contribute to regional stability.
