Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Meets Head of Tatarstan Minnikhanov in Avaza

On Tuesday in Avaza, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, who arrived in the country to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), the Press Service of the Rais of Tatarstan reports.

The parties discussed further development of friendly relations and cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan across various sectors, reaffirming their mutual interest in strengthening the partnership.

Landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) lack direct access to maritime routes, which creates significant challenges in trade, transport connectivity, and development. The absence of national port infrastructure makes them dependent on transit countries, resulting in high costs and delays in transportation. Despite these challenges, LLDCs have active communities and vast untapped potential, according to the LLDC3 official website.

The Third United Nations Conference on LLDCs provides a platform to seek effective solutions and build partnerships aimed at overcoming challenges and unlocking opportunities for a fairer and more sustainable future.
