On Tuesday in Awaza, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the press service of the Kazakh President reported.
During the conversation, Tokayev expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3).
The Kazakh leader emphasized the importance of this forum as a platform for exchanging views and developing practical solutions on key issues related to the situation of landlocked developing countries.
The parties discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation in trade and economic sectors, energy, and transit and transport. The presidents reaffirmed their shared commitment to developing the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
The LLDC3 international conference, bringing together world leaders, heads of governments, and organizations, will continue until August 8 of this year.
