President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been awarded the Order of Turkmenistan “For Contribution to the Development of Cooperation". The award ceremony took place during the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), currently being held in Awaza, according to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan on Monday.
President Mirziyoyev expressed his deep gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the fraternal Turkmen nation for this high honor.
He noted that the award symbolizes special recognition and respect for Uzbekistan and its multiethnic people, as well as acknowledgment of joint efforts to strengthen friendship, good neighborliness, and partnership in Central Asia.
The President highlighted the high level of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, built on a rich historical legacy and traditions of mutual respect. In recent years, major economic and humanitarian projects have been implemented, and trade and cooperation volumes have grown significantly.
In conclusion, President Mirziyoyev congratulated the Turkmen people on the ongoing UN conference and wished success for the upcoming Global Summit of the International Year of Peace and Trust, scheduled for December in Ashgabat.
