Meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan

The President of Turkmenistan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council. In it, the results of the work performed by the military and law enforcement agencies in January-May of this year were considered. Also, issues related to ensuring security and peace in our independent country, strengthening the material base of military and law enforcement agencies, and further improving their work were included in the meeting's agenda.

First, Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdiev made a speech and reported on the measures taken to successfully fulfill the tasks set within the framework of military reforms, including the tasks to strengthen the defense capability of the National Army. There was also a report on the process of discharging military servicemen, calling up citizens to regular military service, and preparations for the solemn military parade dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Motherland. In addition, the results of the recent military field training were reported.

Commenting on the report, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country Belent noted that in accordance with the military doctrine of the country, which has only a defensive character, the strengthening of the material and equipment base of the military and law enforcement agencies is one of the first priority tasks. Technical improvement of military and law enforcement agencies requires special training of military personnel, the Turkmen leader continued, and instructed to use innovative methods of education and training in military training institutions. Expressing satisfaction with the results of the recent military field training, the President emphasized the importance of continuing the high-quality training in accordance with the plan. The exercise showed that our Armed Forces are improving. In this regard, instructions were given to further increase his combat training.

Instructions were given regarding the discharge of military servicemen and the conscripting of citizens of the country into military service in accordance with the established procedure. Also, the Secretary of the State Security Council, the Minister of Defense was instructed to ensure proper preparation for the solemn military parade to be held on the occasion of the Independence Day.

Prosecutor General B. Muhamedov reported on the results of work carried out since the beginning of this year, comprehensive measures taken to monitor the strict and proper observance of the law in all sectors. The results of the investigations into the implementation of the provisions of the laws and regulations based on the instruction of the Turkmen leader were also discussed.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov commented on the report and emphasized the important role of the prosecutor's office as an important state institution in ensuring legality. In this regard, it was noted that the employees of the department should be responsible for the performance of the task assigned to them.

Then the Minister of Internal Affairs M. Khydyrov reported on the results of the work performed by the supervising bodies in the last five months of this year. In particular, they talked about specific measures taken to ensure public order in the country, prevent violations of law, ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, organize the work of the traffic control service in accordance with the requirements of the time, and solve life-related problems.

The Turkmen leader listened to the report and emphasized the need to further improve the work of all the departments of the ministry. It was noted that it is important to actively introduce modern technical means, road safety systems, and improve the professional level of employees. The President instructed the Minister to strictly control the observance of fire safety regulations due to the warming of the weather with the arrival of summer.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Belent, denounced the Minister of Internal Affairs, M. Khydyrov, for failing to fulfill his duties.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court B. Khojamgulyev reported on the improvement of the judicial system during the reporting period and the work carried out according to the instructions of the Turkmen leader. Along with this, measures taken to introduce a digital system and advanced practices into this system, conditions created for employees to work effectively and rest were mentioned.

Listening to the report, the President emphasized the need for active use of innovative technologies and improvement of the judicial process in order to successfully solve the tasks ahead. The Turkmen leader said: "The appointment and dismissal of the judges of the courts of Turkmenistan is also for them
