The international conference and exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025" (OGT 2025) will take place in Ashgabat from October 22 to 24. Organizers announced that official registration for participants has begun, Turkmenistan’s state media reported on Thursday.
Held under the motto “Energy. Innovation. Development,” the conference is expected to bring together delegates from more than 60 countries. Key topics on the agenda include:
– Strengthening international cooperation and promoting sustainable energy development in line with the UN-declared Year of Peace and Trust;
– Showcasing the investment potential of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector;
– Analyzing global energy trends, including the energy transition and decarbonization;
– Addressing environmental considerations in hydrocarbon field development;
– Exploring the growing role of artificial intelligence in hydrocarbon extraction.
Participants and foreign investors will also receive updated information and analysis on a range of major energy projects, such as the current status and prospects of the Galkynysh gas field, the construction of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline, investment opportunities in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, the expansion of natural gas exports via new routes, and the development of gas processing and petrochemicals.
In addition, the conference will highlight sustainability initiatives, including methane emission reduction efforts and renewable energy projects like the solar-wind power plant near Altyn Asyr Lake.
Organizers say OGT 2025 will serve as a platform for forging new partnerships and boosting investment activity in the region.
