President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited on Monday in Ulaanbaatar Mongolian President to attend an international forum in Ashgabat marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and the UN-declared International Year of Peace and Trust. The invitation was extended during official talks with Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh,
According to Turkmenistan’s state news agency, the Turkmen leader also invited Mongolia to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, scheduled to take place in August in Awaza on Turkmenistan’s Caspian coast.
The two heads of state discussed expanding foreign policy cooperation, including issues of regional and global stability. Both sides expressed readiness to work together on the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as on matters related to the environment, food security, energy, and transport connectivity.
“Turkmenistan and Mongolia reaffirmed their strong commitment to steadily and confidently building long-term relations based on friendship, equality, and mutual benefit,” President Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
As part of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s official visit to Mongolia, a Turkmen-Mongolian business forum was held in Ulaanbaatar.
