In Tbilisi, the Turkmen delegation is on a familiarization visit dedicated to learning best practices and developing the national trade policy. This visit is from May 27th to May 31st.
The delegation of Turkmenistan includes representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Justice, the Central Bank, the State Customs Service and other agencies. During the visit, the Turkmen side held meetings with specialists of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tax Service and Customs Department of Georgia.
During the meetings, bilateral relations in the field of economy and trade, the process of becoming a member of the WTO, duties and obligations related to joining this organization were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on modernization and simplification of customs procedures, as well as tax reforms within the framework of WTO membership.
The familiarization visit of the Turkmen delegation to the state of Georgia continues. Today, the country is studying the experience of its partners on the path of integration into the global trade system.
