Turkmenistan and Qatar to Open Direct Air Communication

During a meeting in Ashgabat, representatives of Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines) agency and the Acting Ambassador of Qatar to Turkmenistan, Ghanem bin Abdullah Al-Rumaihi, announced the expected opening of direct air communication between Turkmenistan and Qatar in the near future.

As reported on Monday by Türkmenhowaýollary agency, during the negotiations, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of air transportation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the parties paid special attention to the possibility of establishing direct and transit flights, and proposed to organize promotional campaigns for Qatar Airways in Turkmenistan, including information on fares and services.

As reported, Turkmen citizens traveling to Qatar will be able to use an online service to facilitate visa acquisition.
