The National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is participating in the 16th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” held in the Republic of Tatarstan, as reported by by Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday.

Turkmenistan views its participation in this event as a key part of engagement with the Russian Federation and Islamic countries. The focus is on strengthening long-term partnerships in politics, economics, trade, culture, and humanitarian fields.

KazanForum annually gathers participants from dozens of countries, with Turkmenistan traditionally sending a large delegation. The national pavilion at the 2025 Russia Halal Expo once again stood out as one of the most prominent. Visitors were presented with products from leading Turkmen manufacturers — ranging from food items to textiles and industrial goods.

Turkmen products meet high international standards, reflected in the steady growth of exports to Russia. Participation in the Kazan exhibition opens additional opportunities to expand business ties with both Russian regions and Islamic countries.
