Turkmenistan actively prepares for the UN conference on landlocked countries.

As part of his working visit to the Balkan velayat, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov inspected the preparation of facilities for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. The head of state was presented with projects of the infrastructure facilities under construction, the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper reports.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the need to take comprehensive measures to ensure a high organizational level of this event of global importance and gave relevant instructions to the competent authorities.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid special attention to the improvement of the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Caspian coast, where the conference will be held. The head of state reviewed the types of tree and flower seedlings that are planned to be planted as part of the preparatory work.

"The beautiful resort area should make a favorable impression on numerous foreign guests," the President noted, instructing to ensure thorough cleaning of the territory and optimize landscaping.
