The Caspian Media Forum in Astrakhan, which annually brings together media specialists from different countries, will be held in August 2024. The theme of the forum will be “Dialogue of cultures as the basis for the development of the Caspian region,” said Olga Prokofieva, Minister of Culture of the Astrakhan Region, at the forum “Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum,” TASS reports. “In 2024, for the ninth time, the Caspian Media Forum will be held in Astrakhan, which fulfills the tasks of creating a unified information field, helps to eliminate falsification of information, creates a unified information agenda on key issues and becomes a constructive platform for dialogue. In 2024, the forum will be held on August 16,” - said Prokofieva.
A unique continuation of the event will be the cultural festival “Caspian Seasons”, within the framework of which an open-air opera will be shown in the historical scenery of the Astrakhan Kremlin; stars of the world stage will take part in the festival events. In addition, the combined symphony orchestra of the Caspian states, which includes musicians from Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan, will perform as part of the festival.
