On 10 April 2025, a delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Foreign Minister A. Gurbanov took part in the international conference “Dialogue, trust, peace, security in the world” organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Italy in cooperation with the Italian Institute of Asia.

During the event it was noted that the UN proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust gives us an opportunity to build an inclusive, just and sustainable world. It was also stated that Turkmenistan's initiative is an invitation and a call to all states to start joint work on the implementation of the ideas of peace and trust as a fundamental principle of the world order.

Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Edmondo Cirielli stressed that Italy is committed to developing mutually beneficial co-operation with Central Asian countries.

In his speech, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan expressed his conviction that Turkmenistan's cooperation with Italy has good prospects.
