The Turkmen delegation, which included representatives of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, took part in the Technical Consultation Meeting on the Development Strategy for Corridor 2 of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC), which was held recently in Baku and is important for improving connectivity between Asia and Europe.

At the meeting, issues related to the Organization’s activities were discussed and reports on the work carried out and the results achieved were heard.

Plans under the CAREC Transport Strategy 2030 were also reviewed. The objective of the meeting is to bring together representatives of relevant ministries, industry experts and partners to discuss issues, find solutions and develop actions to develop CAREC Corridor 2 and, more broadly, to promote overall economic and transport development of corridors in the CAREC region.
