President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Thursday in Samarkand invited European companies to enter the Turkmen market, reaffirming the country's readiness to offer the most favorable conditions for foreign investors, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

Speaking at the first "Central Asia – European Union" summit in Samarkand, the President of Turkmenistan noted the country's interest in expanding trade and economic cooperation with Europe and proposed that the EU consider launching support programs for exporters and importers.

President Berdimuhamedov stated that investments by the European Union in infrastructure projects in Central Asia could bring significant geoeconomic and commercial benefits, as well as strengthen the long-term position of European businesses in the region.

"Our region can become a place for European companies to establish large, modern industrial enterprises, transport and communication sectors, and invest in projects involving scientific-technological clusters and service centers," the head of state said.

Berdimuhamedov added that the current trade and economic partnership requires a review in terms of its effectiveness and alignment with real opportunities.

As part of the summit, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov also invited European partners to engage in concrete discussions on potential cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
