On March 5, a meeting of the working group consisting of authorized representatives of relevant government agencies of Turkmenistan and Iran was held within the framework of the commission for the creation of joint trade zones under the Secretariat of the Economic Cooperation Organization. This was reported by the press service of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Tehran. During the meeting, issues related to the construction of a trade market on the Turkmen-Iranian border were discussed. In this regard, it was noted that the proposed border trade market will contribute to the development of cross-border trade and strengthening of economic relations in the Persian Gulf region and between the two countries.
