On February 18, 2025, representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan took part in a meeting of the committees on legal issues and international relations of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, which took place in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey. The News Service of Diplomatic Missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs about this.

This forum is aimed at supporting friendly cooperation between the Turkic states at the parliamentary level, developing inter-parliamentary relations in the region, as well as disseminating the positive experience of active participation of parliamentarians in the socio-economic development of the country.

During the forum, it was emphasized that such high-level meetings are of particular importance for protecting common interests, strengthening representation in the international arena and deepening cooperation.

Speaking at the meeting, the Turkmen delegation reaffirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to peace diplomacy, economic partnership, cultural exchange and environmental sustainability. The priority areas of legislative work of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan were noted.
