New Year's Eve celebrations were held throughout Turkmenistan to welcome 2025. Festive trees and the participation of children added a special atmosphere to this beloved holiday.

In Ashgabat, famous pop singers performed on the square in front of the State Circus and on the "Ylham" alley, and folk festivals took place.

On the square in front of the "Alem" Cultural and Entertainment Center, near the country's main Christmas tree, adorned with colorful garlands, city residents and guests of the capital gathered for a solemn New Year's celebration.

Representatives of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as the velayats, joined the celebration via a digital connection in a video conference format.

On behalf of all compatriots, the host congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov  on the New Year, which will be held under the slogan "International Year of Peace and Trust," wishing him good health, a long and happy life, and success in all endeavors for the prosperity of the Motherland and the well-being of the people. Then the host announced the beginning of the festive video conference.  

A live connection united residents of different regions of the country, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, who congratulated each other on the New Year.

The New Year's video conference was concluded by the capital of independent neutral Turkmenistan. Residents of Ashgabat gathered on the square in front of the "Älem" Cultural and Entertainment Center, as well as the country's leadership, wished their compatriots well-being and happiness. Artists joined them with creative congratulations.

Then came an important moment of the video conference: President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the people of Turkmenistan with a New Year's greeting live.

In a moment, the clock hands stopped at 12, and the National Anthem of Turkmenistan was played. The sky of Ashgabat was illuminated by a festive fireworks display. Turkmenistan entered the new year with good wishes!
