The National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli hosted a gala concert called Magtymguly, sözle bu şirin dilde, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fragi.

The best bakhshis from all regions of the country and the city of Arkadag took part in the concert, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

Since the concert was conceived as a theatrical performance, the stage was decorated in the style of a Turkmen yurt. Carpets, low tables for writing, inkwells with long feathers, khurjums filled with books testified to the fact that the owner of this house is a scientist, poet, philosopher.

The concert program was opened by Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Yagmyr Gurbannazarov, who appeared before the audience in the image of Makhtumkuli. The poet read his poems, asked questions and tried to find answers to them.

Folk musicians - bakhshi - performed songs based on Magtymguly's words on stage. Among them were Ýat bolar, Jem bolup, Güle meňzär, Gözel sen and others.

At the end of the concert, all the participants performed the folk song Türkmeniň.

At the end, each of the singers and musicians was presented with a valuable gift from the organizers: the Magtymguly Youth Organization and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the source notes.
