Within the framework of the “Caspian Seasons” festival, a concert entitled “Day of Turkmenistan” was held on the stage of the Astrakhan Philharmonic on August 24.

As reported by the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan, the concert featured works of world and national classical music, as well as modern pop songs. The musical art of Turkmenistan was presented by the singer, People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atajan Berdyev, the pianist, laureate of national and international competitions Ashir Ashirov, as well as the chamber ensemble “Camerata Ashgabat”.

The leadership of the Astrakhan administration, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, university teachers and students, participants of the “Caspian Seasons” festival and numerous city residents were invited to the concert.

Within the framework of the concert, the staff of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan organized an exhibition in the foyer of the Philharmonic dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.

The exhibition featured fine and jewelry art, national clothing, as well as original examples of decorative and applied arts.

In addition to poetry collections by Magtymguly Fragi, scientific and popular science journalistic works about the life and work of the great Eastern thinker, the exhibition presented a large number of diverse popular science literature dedicated to the history, unique flora, fauna and tourist attractiveness of Turkmenistan.
