Afghanistan is preparing to implement the TOPH project

Afghanistan's Ministry of Mines and Petroleum announced that all preparations for the start of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India Transnational Gas Pipeline Project have been completed.

According to "TOLOnews" news agency, Homayun Afghan, the representative of the Afghan side of the project, informed that security measures have been taken in the framework of the gas pipeline, and the land issues related to the route of the project have been resolved. In this regard, he called on the regional countries to work on the project.

— The Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline is one of the largest projects. Afghanistan had many problems, including security, technical issues and land acquisition, most of which have been resolved to date. I hope that the existing minor problems will be solved in the future - says Homayun Afghan.

As we reported earlier, the Turkmen delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov recently visited Islamabad. On July 24, the Turkmen delegation exchanged views with the Federal Oil Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Musadik Masood Malik on the possibilities of further advancing the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline. The parties expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will be further developed within the framework of solving specific issues related to the practical implementation of the TOPH project.
