Azim Ibrahim, the Minister of Transport of Tajikistan, instructed the relevant directorates and institutions to test train traffic on the route crossing the territory of Turkmenistan. More precisely, based on the assignment, the test train will move along the route of the "China-Tajikistan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey-Europe" multimodal international transport corridor. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan.

According to the source, at the same time, the minister will gradually upgrade the country's railway wagons and locomotives, strengthen the digitization of the industry, build logistics centers in Iran's Chabahar port, increase the volume and quality of cargo and passenger traffic, and build new transit railways. also gave an assignment.

Let us recall that in the talks between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan held in Dushanbe in May 2023, the transport sector was identified as a priority area of ​​bilateral cooperation. In this regard, the importance of creating new multimodal international transport corridors such as "China-Tajikistan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey" was emphasized.
