Turkmen national costumes will be donated to the Museum of Ethnography of Russia

Today, July 19, there will be a ceremony to present a set of Turkmen national costumes to the Museum of Ethnography of the Russian Federation. This is reported on the official website of the museum.

As mentioned, specialists of the Museum of Ethnography of Russia have been cooperating with their Turkmen colleagues for a long time. The organizers of the donation of traditional Turkmen clothing to the Russian Ethnographic Museum will be another step in the preservation of traditional cultural relations. Costumes can complement the museum's values and enhance the exhibition.

- Today, our museum has very valuable heritage belonging to earlier times. They are placed in 9 sections of the museum, including 4 sections that only have pictures from different periods. Most of them belong to the famous ethnographer and photographer Samuel Dudin. His photographs of the life, nature, and historical places of the people of Turkmenistan are kept in our museum. We certainly want to complement our values. Currently, our museum has temporary exhibitions entitled "The world of carpets of Turkmen", "The 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great classic of Turkmen literature", says Yulia Kupina, director of the Museum of Ethnography of Russia.

According to reports, the items donated to the museum include men's and women's clothing, including coats, jackets, scarves, national dresses, shoes, and various jewelry.
