As is known, a large group of Turkmen pilgrims visited Saudi Arabia, the holiest part of the Islamic world, to perform the Hajj. Today, the rest of the group returned to Turkmenistan. This is reported in the "Vatan" news program.
As noted, on the blessed days of Eid al-Adha, one of the main Muslim holidays, representatives of five provinces and the capital of Turkmenistan, together with millions of pilgrims from around the world, visited the holy Kaaba and observed other rituals in Mecca and Medina.
Pilgrims arrived at Ashgabat International Airport on a special plane. Then they went to the Hazrat Omar mosque located in the residential complex "Parahat-7" in modern buses. Relatives and friends welcomed them near the mosque. Pilgrims expressed their gratitude here.
Religious officials and pilgrims noted the importance of continuing national traditions and their preservation as an integral part of the rich historical and cultural heritage of the country in the education of young generations. In this regard, those gathered here expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the fact that attention is paid to the positive solution of these problems at the state level, and the necessary conditions are created to perform the Hajj.
Pilgrims who performed Hajj received the name of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Turkmenistan.
As we reported earlier, the Turkmen pilgrims who performed the hajj made sacrifices in the holy city of Mecca on the days of the holy Gurban Bayram.
