Afghanistan plans to export its national products to Turkmenistan

Consul General of Turkmenistan in Afghanistan (Hyrat City) Batyr Yolov met with Nur Ahmad Islamjar, Governor of Khyrat Province.

At the meeting held on June 25, Nur Ahmad Islamjar said that the Afghan side wants to increase cargo transportation along the Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan-China route, as well as to establish the export of Afghan fruits, vegetables and dry foods to Turkmenistan.

The diplomat, in turn, noted that Turkmenistan is ready to develop trade and economic relations, transport and logistics cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

As "Baghtar News" reported, the Turkmen diplomat announced that 120 trucks with commercial goods are ready to pass through the Turgundi border crossing (Afghanistan) daily and reported that the repair work of the Nur-Jihad sub-station has been completed.

Nur Ahmad Islamjar said it is important to speed up the implementation of the TOPH gas pipeline project. The mayor also emphasized the need to hold a tripartite meeting with the participation of transport companies from Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the issue of cargo transportation along the China-Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan route was also discussed.
